Customer A
"Relationships and who you know is most important"
Our medical company customer recommended their subcontractor to approach us due to quality and delivery problems from their existing PCB supplier. The problem was identified as being due to poor supply of a special laminate for their PCB that is not very common. Therefore this laminate had an extremely long lead time and unstable supply.
Crowntek was able to use its existing good relationship with their preferred PCB supplier to influence their laminate supplier to supply the special laminate to them at a very short lead time. Crowntek took over the PCB orders and delivered the sub-contractor urgent requirement to meet their dead line. Also, ongoing supply of the special laminate was secured with a supply agreement and keeping a safety stock.
Our long standing medical company customer was happy, their sub-contractor was happy and Crowntek was happy, as the subcontractor became a new long standing customer also.
Customer B
"Many of our customers have production and supply sources in different world regions that need coordinating and they do not want to disclose the source to their end customer.
Our distribution company customer had problems to coordinate the supply of various parts from different suppliers and then shipping those parts to a China factory for assembly.
The Crowntek solution provided a logistic hub for the customer. We stored the various parts in our own warehouse, distributed the parts to China factory for assembly and then received the different fully assembled and semi-assembled products back into our warehouse for consolidated shipping to our customer. Crowntek provided the China factory audit, pre-shipment QC and ongoing screening.
Crowntek serviced the customer with regular schedule reports and updates, together with shipping documentation and shipping advice.
Most important to the distribution company customer, was the source of the suppliers and China factory was not disclosed to their end customers. Just as important, the customer was not wasting valuable local resources on non core activities.

Our customer was buying multiple PCBs, each PCB being recognized as just a part number. Crowntek recognized the relationship between the different part numbers and saw an opportunity to save money for the customer.
Crowntek and our PCB manufacturing engineers developed a new panelization solution. The result was much improved laminate efficiency and a lower production cost.
In hindsight, this was an easy solution to implement, but not obvious to our customer at the time. Of course, our customer was very pleased as their total cost of supply was reduced.

Sometimes our customers introduce us to new suppliers, or their existing suppliers so that Crowntek can manage and develop the relationship on their behalf.
Our customer was buying PCB Assemblies from a China subcontractor but they were experiencing problems with order management, delivery schedule updates and just poor communication.
Crowntek visited the China subcontractor and met with the key people and established an understanding in their language and at their site. It did not take long before the root cause of the problem was discovered. On this occasion, it started with a simple misunderstanding based on different expectations between our customer and their subcontractor.
Crowntek was able to mediate and eliminate the frustration felt by both the customer and their subcontractor by establishing a shared and agreed understanding. This relationship still exists today, and is maintained by Crowntek with regular visits to both the customer and the supplier.
